Man shot to death near Goose Creek

GOOSE CREEK, S.C. (AP) _ Berkeley County officials have released the name of a man shot to death at an apartment complex near Goose Creek. Coroner Bill Salisbury told local reporters that 27-year-old Joshua Holmes of Ladson died in the shooting. Sheriff’s spokesman Dan Moon said the shooting happened shortly before 11:30 p.m. Sunday. Deputies found shell casings, glass and blood on the kitchen floor of the home. Moon said a man arrived at Trident Regional Medical Center saying he had been shot. He was later identified as Holmes and died at the hospital early Monday. No arrests have been reported.
