1 dead in shooting in Orangeburg
ORANGEBURG, S.C. (AP) — Orangeburg police are investigating the death of a man who was found in a car outside a motel.
The Times and Democrat of Orangeburg reports (http://bit.ly/1wHuVTI ) that 30-year-old Ricardo Sprinkle of Orangeburg was found dead in his vehicle early Wednesday morning.
Police say he had been shot in the face. An autopsy is scheduled Thursday.
Sprinkle’s body was found about 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday by a police officer making rounds.
Authorities say they think that Sprinkle knew his assailant. It’s not clear whether he was shot in the car or somewhere else.
