New Polls:USC Up One Spot, Clemson Out

COLUMBIA, S.C. (USC SID) — The University of South Carolina football team moved up one spot in both national polls released today. The Gamecocks (3-1, 2-1 SEC) check in at number 13 in the Associated Press poll and are ranked 15th in the Amway Coaches‘ poll. The Gamecocks are coming off a 48-34 SEC road win at Vanderbilt. They will host Missouri (3-1, 0-0 SEC) on Saturday, Sept. 27, at 7 p.m. ET. ESPN will televise the contest nationally. ESPN‘s GameDay show will originate from the Horseshoe on the Columbia campus on Saturday morning as well. Florida State continues to lead both polls, with Oregon (2/4), Alabama (3/2) and Oklahoma (4/3) ahead of fifth-ranked Auburn. Eight SEC teams are ranked by the A.P., with Alabama (3), Auburn (5), Texas A&M (6), Ole Miss (10), Georgia (12), South Carolina (13), Mississippi State (14) and LSU (17) all considered Top-25 teams.
