SC festival celebrates International Day of Peace

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Face painting, pinwheels and a photo booth are all part of a celebration marking the International Day of Peace at the Statehouse.

The Carolina Peace Resource Center is hosting “Peace Day at the Statehouse” in Columbia on Sunday.

Organizers say the event features music, speakers and activities for all ages, including a “hippie” peace-themed photo booth and a group picture posing as a peace sign.

The event is free and open to the public.
