SC law agents marking US Marshals Day

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Federal, state and local law enforcement agents are marking a day to celebrate the work of U.S. Marshals Service.

U.S. Marshal Kelvin Washington has scheduled a news conference on Friday at the federal courthouse in Columbia to commemorate U.S. Marshals Day.

Organizers say they will be highlighting the accomplishments of Operation Intercept, a fugitive task force that’s headed up by the U.S. Marshals Service.
