Water main break prompts Cayce boil water advisory

CAYCE, S.C. (AP) — Officials in Cayce are issuing a boil water advisory after a water main break.

Forty-five homes are without water because of the problem.

The problem was reported Sunday on the City of Cayce’s Facebook page.

The break was near Summerland Drive, and anyone in the area who has experienced problems with water pressure should boil water for one minute before eating or drinking it.

Cayce has about 12,000 residents and is southwest of Columbia.
