Mack Chooses VCU Over USC

Columbia, S.C. — “It was the hardest decision of my life,” said Tevin Mack after committing to Virginia Commonwealth University over the the University of South Carolina and the University of UConn’s basketball programs. Mack, a 6-6 small forward out of Dreher High School in Columbia, is one of the state’s and nation’s best players, listed as the #71 best overall recruit. “It was a tough choice,” said Mack. “I turned down a lot of great schools, but there was just some little stuff that set other schools apart.” Mack narrowed his choices to USC, UConn and VCU before committing to VCU Head Coach Shaka Smart and the Rams. “I want to get them back to the Final Four,” said Mack.
