Watson Out, Tigers Down 9-3 At Half

Clemson had a nightmare first half at Georgia Tech Saturday afternoon. And not just because they went into the half down 9-3 on the scoreboard. Tiger freshman quarterback Deshaun Watson, playing for the first time since injuring his throwing hand about a month ago, will not return to the game after injuring his knee. Watson went down with 2:03 left in the first quarter with the Tigers up 3-0. The QB ran for a first down on 3rd and 1 from the Georgia Tech 21-yard-line. At the end of a 6 yard gain, Watson got tangled up with teammate Wayne Gallman. His right ankle and left knee appeared injured on the play. Watson walked off the field and to the locker room on his own power but did not return to the sideline in the first half.
