Swinney Dismisses Florida Rumors

Clemson, S.C. — After Wednesday’s practice, Clemson Tigers Head Coach Dabo Swinney was asked about a report claiming Swinney is interested in the Florida coaching vacancy. “Nobody has talked to me,” Swinney said. “We are not going to even acknowledge that kind of stuff. Ya’ll know I love Clemson. I love my job.” According to the Orlando Sentinel, Swinney is listed as one of the more likely hires by the Gators. “The more you sit around and talk about all the kind of stuff the more of a distraction it is,” said Swinney. “This (Clemson) is a place that is special to me and I’ve invested a lot here.” The Tigers (7-3) are coming off a loss at Georgia Tech and host Georgia State this Saturday in Clemson.
