USC student killed in wreck; 2 injured
HOPKINS, S.C. (AP) — A 19-year-old University of South Carolina student was killed and two people injured in a wreck.
The State of Columbia reported Sunday (http://bit.ly/1s8Wwak ) that Kerrian Abbigale Morris was killed Saturday in an accident in Hopkins.
The S.C. Highway Patrol said Morris was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene. The USC student was from Lauderdale Lakes, Fla.
Authorities said Morris was driving a 2012 Hyundai that went through the intersection and was hit on the driver’s side by a 2007 Dodge truck.
The passenger in the Hyundai was taken to Palmetto Richland hospital with serious injuries. A 54-year-old woman who was driving the truck was also taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
