Coastal Better Prepared For Bison This Time

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Coastal Carolina coach Joe Moglia beleives his team is in a better position to face defending champion North Dakota State than a year ago. It’s the second straight time the Chants (12-1) travel to face the Bison (12-1) in the FCS playoff quarterfinals. North Dakota State routed Coastal Carolina 48-14 in 2013 on the way to its third straight national championship. Moglia said the Chants were weary from two lengthy playoff trips after winning at Montana to advance a year ago. This time, Coastal Carolina started 11-0 and earned a first-round bye and a home game to start its NCAA playoff run. Moglia said his players have experienced facing North Dakota State with a spot in the national semifinals on the line and won’t be awed by the opportunity.
