Holbrook to Receive Contract Extension

Columbia, S.C. — Gamecocks Baseball Coach Chad Holbrook will receive a two-year contract extension, pending approval from the University of South Carolina’s Board of Trustees Tuesday. If the contract is approved, Holbrook will have a contract with USC for the next five seasons until 2019. The head coach’s $400,000 annual salary would stay the same, including incentives for winning the SEC regular-season title ($15,000), advancing to the College World Series ($10,000) and winning a national championship ($50,000). Holbrook served as an assistant to Ray Tanner at USC for four seasons and was promoted to head coach in 2012.
