The top-ranked South Carolina Gamecocks women’s basketball team heads to Ole Miss to face the Rebels Sunday in a late afternoon clash on ESPNU. Carolina looks to extend their school-record win streak to 21 and earn its sixth straight over the Rebels, though the series is tied at 17. USC is tied atop the SEC standings with Tennessee at 8-0 in conference play, but the next week presents three road challenges (two in the SEC) beginning with Ole Miss Sunday then ending with second-ranked Connecticut Monday Feb. 9 in a non-conference battle for potentially the nation’s top spot. USC, 6-0 on the road this season, is led by junior Tiffany Mitchell who averages roughly 15 points per game in conference play. She leads the SEC in scoring. The game will be televised on ESPNU at 4:30 p.m.
