Suspicious Fire at Anderson Home Where Man was Killed Monday

ANDERSON, S.C. (AP) _ Authorities say a fire at an Anderson home where someone was shot to death three nights before was intentionally set. Anderson County Fire Chief Jimmy Sutherland told local media outlets that someone poured a flammable liquid in a front room of the home before starting the fire around 5:30 a.m. Thursday. No injuries were reported. The fire happened at the same home where police said 24-year-old Jeremy Burns was shot several times and killed Monday. Burns was wearing a bullet-proof vest, but authorities say the fatal shot hit him in the neck. Investigators think the owner of the home fired the fatal shots. No arrests have been made as authorities try to figure out what led to the killing.
