Columbia officials to wear red for heart health

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Officials from the City of Columbia are wearing red to spread awareness about women’s heart health.
Councilwoman Tameika Isaac Devine and representatives from the American Heart Association are joining local business and civic leaders on Friday for a news conference at City Hall.
Officials say they will be sporting red clothing as part of National Wear Red Day, which honors and supports women affected by heart disease.
There will also be a community photography session for everyone wearing red at the event.
