Man Shot to Death in Struggle over Rifle in Edgefield County

EDGEFIELD, S.C. (AP) _ Authorities say a 32-year-old Graniteville man has been shot to death while fighting over a rifle in Edgefield County. Investigators said Marco Harris died in the early Monday morning shooting Deputies say Marco Harris and Ezekiel Harris were arguing, when Marco Harris grabbed a rifle and threatened to shoot. Ezekiel Harris grabbed the gun and the men struggled with the weapon until it fired and wounded Marco Harris. Investigators haven’t said if the men are related. Ezekiel Harris is currently charged with firing a weapon while under the influence of alcohol. Deputies say their investigation continues. It wasn’t known if Ezekiel Harris had a lawyer.
