Roberts Leaves USC Football Program

Marcquis Roberts is the latest Gamecock to leave Steve Spurrier’s program. South Carolina confirmed the news Tuesday. The linebacker, who is the 10th scholarship player to leave USC this season, was entering his fifth year with the Gamecocks. He took a medical redshirt his freshman season because of a shoulder injury. A knee injury caused him to miss his second season with USC. The redshirt sophomore had 31 tackles in 13 games with Carolina in 2014.
