Winter storm moving out of South Carolina

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — The winter storm is moving out of South Carolina.

The National Weather Service said no frozen precipitation was falling in the state early Thursday.

A winter weather advisory was still in effect until late Thursday morning in the Upstate and in the northeastern corner of the state.

Duke Energy reported nearly 900 customers were without electric service. Most of those outages were in Greenville County.

South Carolina Electric & Gas reported about 2,100 customers without service. Almost all of those were in Charleston County.

The state transportation department said all interstate highways were open. Some primary and secondary roads in the Upstate do have snow and ice.
