2 SC brothers convicted in shooting death of teenager
ST. MATTHEWS, S.C. (AP) — A jury has returned guilty verdicts for two brothers accused of murdering a Calhoun County teenager and dumping her body in a swamp.
WIS-TV in Columbia reports (http://bit.ly/1DVMAWz) jurors on Friday found both Bryant McKnight and Jerry McKnight guilty of murder and kidnapping. The two were accused of killing 17-year-old Kymmara Randolph.
The judge hearing the case sentenced the two men to life in prison on the murder charges and 30 years for kidnapping.
Prosecutors say the brothers shot Randolph multiple times, but the attorney for Bryant McKnight says Jerry was in charge and forced Bryant to shoot Randolph after Jerry had already killed her.
