Scott winding up veterans job initiative with job fair

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — U.S. Sen. Tim Scott is winding up a series of workshops to help veterans find employment with a job fair in the Lowcountry.
Since October, the Republican lawmaker has sponsored workshops across the state to help veterans learn how to showcase the skills they learned in the military when applying for civilian jobs.
On Monday, a job fair is being held at the North Charleston Coliseum with 110 employers from across the state and 25 claims representatives from the Veterans Affairs regional office in Columbia.
The fair is being held in conjunction with the VA, local governments, the state Department of Employment and Workforce and other agencies and veterans groups.
A second job fair is being held March 25 in Greenville.
