SC State Board of Trustees meet again Tuesday

ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WOLO) – The Board of Trustees at South Carolina State University will be at it again Tuesday. Members have called a special teleconference meeting for 4:30 in the afternoon in Lowman Hall. A copy of the agenda shows the board plans to take up proposals on organizational structure and look at an update on financial aid. In addition, members are also expected to head into executive session. State lawmakers have been pushing a bill to remove the school’s Board of Trustees along with South Carolina State President Thomas Elzey. Elzey was recently put on paid administrative leave, and in response, he has sued the school, which is pending in court.
