Former Midlands police chief due in court

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – One of the three men, who are tied to the case against ousted Lexington County Sheriff James Metts made an appearance in federal court. Jason Amodio was scheduled to appear at 10am on charges of public corruption. He’s the former police chief of south congaree. A joint investigation from the FBI and SLED claims former Lexington Town Councilman Danny Frazier bribed Amodio in exchange for seized gambling machines. Last summer, a judge set bond at $50,000 dollars for Amodio. ABC Columbia will be at the courthouse and bring you the latest developments throughout the day.
