Rundown before St. Pat’s Day event in Five Points

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – More than 40,000 people are expected to make their way into Downtown Columbia Saturday. It’s for the annual St. Patrick’s Day event in Five Points. There will be plenty of activities going on from 9am-7pm. TheY include the “Get to the Green 10K, 5K and Family Fun 1 Miler, the parade, Wells Fargo Pot of Gold Playground and Shaggin’ on Santee. For a closer look at times and how to participate, visit The Five Points Association wants to make sure you get home safely. It will be offering shuttle service from Capital City Stadium, the Discovery Garage at the Koger Center and Hand Middle School. In addition, the Five Points Association and Checker Yellow have agreed to pay the first 10 dollars of your cab ride… if you need a lift home.
