No More Postseason for Carolina

On Sunday, the National Invitation Tournament made 32 selections for its annual collegiate basketball tournament, but Carolina was not one of those selections. USC hoped its late push in the SEC Tournament would be enough to solidify a spot in the NIT, after winning six of its last ten games, but the committee disagreed. In a tweet sent out Sunday, Frank Martin said, “2 all Gamecock Nation,thx 4 giving us so much support this yr. season didn’t end up how we wanted it 2. Our guys gave us everything they had.” Carolina finishes the season with a 17-16 record, choosing not to participate in any other postseason tournament this season.
