2 die in wreck near West Columbia

WEST COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — The Lexington County Coroner has identified two people killed in a wreck near West Columbia.

Coroner Margaret Fisher said in a statement that 21-yea-rold Lee Travis Rea of Lexington and 19-year-old Evan Davis Tyler of West Columbia died in the wreck around 11 p.m. Monday.

Fisher said both victims died at the scene.

Investigators said their vehicle ran off the road and hit a utility pole before overturning and ending up in a pond.

Autopsies were planned to determine the cause of death.
