5 teenagers arrested in man’s shooting death at his home
LEXINGTON, S.C. (AP) — Sheriff’s deputies in Lexington County have arrested five teenagers in connection with the deadly shooting of a man in his home near Swansea.
The sheriff’s office told local media outlets that three 18-year-olds, a 17-year-old and a 16-year-old are charged in connection with the death of 41-year-old Larry Bryan Williams.
Sheriff’s deputies were called to the house Wednesday after a report of a man being shot. Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher identified Williams as the victim and said he died at the scene.
Authorities said the 16-year-old is charged as an adult with murder, armed robbery, criminal conspiracy and possessing a weapon during the commission of a violent crime. He is in the custody of the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice.
