Mother of 4 children dies after completing half-marathon

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — A South Carolina mother of four has died after crossing the finish line of a half-marathon.

Multiple media outlets report 32-year-old Amanda Peake Glover died moments after completing the Palmetto Half Marathon in Columbia Saturday.

The Richland County Coroner’s office has yet to release any official findings on what caused Glover’s death. Her brother, Josh Peake, says she co-owned a gym in Elgin and last month completed a full marathon.

Glover was one of more than 1,000 runners who finished the half marathon over the weekend and placed 133rd place for women in her age group with a time of 2 hours, 15 minutes.

Glover ran the race with her husband, who was just four minutes behind her.
