Revenge Crime Investigated
(WOLO) GREENVILLE, S.C., — GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) _ Authorities in Greenville County say at least 11 cyclists were victims in the strange case of a teen charged with trying to hurt bicycle riders as revenge for his friends’ deaths. The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office says the 16-year-old boy has been charged with attempted murder after he ran bicyclists off the road or tried to hit them. The boy’s name was not released because of his age. Master Deputy Jonathan Smith told The Greenville News (http://grnol.co/1DQeMhy ) that there are 11 victims so far and there may be more. The boy is also charged with assault, throwing fireworks from a vehicle and taunting cyclists. Investigators say the teen was angry and blamed bicyclists for causing a wreck that killed a 19-year-old and 17-year-old friend in December. Authorities say the cyclists were not the cause of that wreck. (Soucre: Associated Press)
