New Lexington Blowfish Stadium Almost Ready

LEXINGTON, S.C. (WOLO) — The new $3 million dollar Lexington County Baseball Stadium is taking shape, and Blowfish officials are confident it will be ready for May 27th’s Opening Day.

Thursday, the Blowfish hosted a media tour of the new ballpark.  Installing new sod was one of several ongoing projects in the final stages of construction that team officials say will be complete for the start of their Coastal Plain League summer collegiate season.

Saturday the team is hosting a “Pick Your Season Seat” Saturday May 2nd.  Fans will get a chance to see the new stadium, try out field level box seats and purchase season tickets.
