Richland One Honors Exceptional Volunteers

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — Richland One wants to honor a special group of people. Thursday night, district officials are holding a reception and ceremony for exceptional volunteers. The event starts at 6:00 in Crayton Middle School. Richland One will honor volunteers such as Calvernetta Williams. She is a retired physics teacher who volunteered to without pay for six weeks as a substitute teacher. There are eight categories for which the volunteers will receive recognition. They include: -Elementary School Volunteer of the Year -Middle School Volunteer of the Year -High School Volunteer of the Year -Special Schools and Centers Volunteer of the Year. -Elementary School Partner of the Year -Middle School Partner of the Year -High School Partner of the Year -Superintendent’s Partner of the Year
