Benedict Men’s Golf Finishes Sixth

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. (BC SID) — The Benedict College men’s golf team finished in sixth place at the 29th PGA Minority Collegiate Golf Championship at PGA Golf Club. The Tigers shot a two-day total of 648 to finish one stroke behind fifth-place Fayetteville State. The tournament was reduced to two rounds due to inclement weather. Cal State Dominguez Hills won the Division II field with a score of 611, one stroke ahead of Texas A&M International. Kelly Allen finished in 10th place for the Tigers with a 76-78-154. Rajai Cousley finished in a tie for 15th place with a 84-75-159. Benedict, the SIAC champions, finished ahead of the three other SIAC teams competing in the event. Morehouse was seventh, four strokes behind Benedict, while Miles and LeMoyne-Owen were eighth and ninth.
