CPD and CFD Compete in Boots and Badges Blood Drive

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – It’s a bloody challenge that pits the Columbia Police Department against the Columbia Fire Department.

Thursday is the kick-off to this year’s Boots and Badges Blood Drive. Officers and firefighters are holding a rally at the American Red Cross Donation Center in Columbia to ask for your help.

Friday through Tuesday, you have a chance to roll up your sleeve for one of the departments.

Donors can give blood and vote for their favorite team at the American Red Cross Columbia Donation Center at the following times: Friday, May 22-Saturday, May 23: 6:00 a.m to 2:00 p.m. -Monday, May 25: 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. -Tuesday, May 26: 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Whichever department collects the most donations, wins.
