Bob Russell Plane Crash Update

Columbia, SC (WOLO)-The National Transportation Safety Board is releasing a preliminary report on the plane crash that took the life of Russell And Jeffcoat real estate founder Bob Russell. here’s what we’ve learned. Investigators say immediately after takeoff from Columbia Metropolitan Airport… Russell declared a mayday… saying he’d lost his engine and was trying to make it back to the field. Air traffic control instructed him it was clear to make a landing on runway eleven… at Columbia Metropolitan Airport. About a minute later… Russell stated he had the runway in sight.. and believed he could make it. Less than a minute later… in his final communication with traffic control… Russell said he had lost his fuel pressure.
