Richland One kicks off free summer meal program

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — There are many treats to chose from when it comes to summer and yet a half-million children in South Carolina are at risk of not having enough food to eat this summer. Richland One wants to do it’s part to help make sure no child goes hungry this summer. It will kick-off the free Children’s Summer Meal Program at a news conference Wednesday morning at 10:00. Organizations that serve children are encouraged to take advantage of the free program. Any child can receive meals at designated sites throughout the state.
