Andrews Man Dies in Logging Accident

FLORENCE, S.C. (AP) _ Authorities say an Andrews man has died in a logging accident near the Great Pee Dee River. Florence County Coroner Keith von Lutcken tells local media outlets the accident happened on a logging site southeast of Florence about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. Von Lutcken says 58-year-old James McCray died at the hospital after he was hit in the head at the site. McCray was working near a crane at the time of the accident.
