Famously Hot Blood Drive

(WOLO) COLUMBIA,S.C., — Many of you may be getting ready to take vacations during your summer break, The American Red Cross says the one thing that doesn’t take time off is the need for blood. Cheyl Austin with the Red Cross says the Summer months, when people are traveling and children are out of school is when they see their blood supply dwindle. In an effort to keep their supply from depleting they’re hoping you can roll up your sleeves and donate. Friday The Red Cross will kick off their 6th annual Famously Hot Blood Drive. The event will be held from 7 in the morning until 3 in the afternoon at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center. You can come to the main lobby to donate, or visit their mobile unit out front to help make a difference in the lives of people in need.
