TV Schedule Out For USC Volleyball

COLUMBIA, S.C. (USC SID) — The South Carolina volleyball team will have eight matches televised on either the SEC Network or ESPNU during the 2015 season, ESPN and the SEC announced Thursday. The Gamecocks are scheduled to appear on the SEC Network seven times and on ESPNU once. Carolina‘s home SEC opener against Kentucky will be on the SEC Network, with first serve set for 7 p.m. The Gamecocks‘ matches on Oct. 4 at Mississippi State (12 p.m.), on Oct. 9 at home against Auburn (7 p.m.), on Oct. 11 at home against Texas A&M (1 p.m.), on Oct. 14 at Georgia (8 p.m.), on Nov. 1 at home against Ole Miss (1 p.m.) and on Nov. 8 at Alabama (3 p.m.) will also be on the SEC Network. Carolina‘s home matchup with Tennessee on Nov. 11 will be on ESPNU at 6 p.m. In its second year, the SEC Network will continue to elevate the level of national television coverage for SEC volleyball programs with 40 matches to be televised. A total of 10 additional matches will be featured on Wednesday Night Volleyball on ESPNU. An additional slate of matches will be carried on the SEC Network‘s digital platform and will be announced at a later date. All SEC Network and ESPNU games will be available on WatchESPN. The Gamecocks will host the Gamecock Invitational on Aug. 28-29 to open their 2015 schedule. The SEC Network The Southeastern Conference and ESPN have a 20-year agreement through 2034 to create and operate a multiplatform network which launched August 14, 2014. The new network and its accompanying digital platform carry SEC content 24/7 and featured more than 1,000 live events the first year. The network televises over 45 SEC football games, more than 100 men‘s basketball games, 60 women‘s basketball games, 75 baseball games, and events from across the SEC‘s 21 sports annually. Programming includes in-depth commentary and analysis in studio shows, daily news and information, original content such as SEC Storied, spring football games, and more.
