Woman struck by lightning while deplaning at CAE

WEST COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — A woman was struck by lightning deplaning her fight at Columbia Metropolitan Airport Saturday evening. Airport officials tell ABC Columbia that an American Airlines flight from Hartford, Connecticut to Charlotte, N.C. was diverted to Columbia because of weather. Passengers were deplaned and during that process, a female passenger was struck by lightning. The airport says she was brought to Lexington Medical Center where she was last reported to be stable.
