Teen shot to death outside of Columbia home

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — A 14-year-old boy has been shot to death outside of a home in Columbia.

Police said the shooting happened around 9 p.m. Friday on a street near Palmetto Health Richland Hospital.

Investigators are in the neighborhood, talking to people and gathering evidence.

The Richland County Coroner’s Office identified the boy as Najeer Raborn Buggs.

Authorities released few other details, including whether there are suspects and a possible motive for the shooting.
