New Clemson coach keeps 2, adds 2 new assistants

CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) — New Clemson baseball coach Monte Lee has set his staff for the coming year.

Lee is keeping assistant Bradley LeCroy and director of baseball operations Brad Owens. He’s adding Andrew See as pitching coach and Greg Starbuck as volunteer assistant.

Lee announced his staff Tuesday. He was hired last month from the College of Charleston to take over the Tigers for Hall-of-Fame coach Jack Leggett, who was let go after 22 seasons.

LeCroy will remain the team’s recruiting coordinator. He’s spent eight seasons with the Tigers in two stretches, the most recent beginning in 2011.

See spent the past three seasons as Duke’s pitching coach.

Starbuck was an assistant coach at Elon the past 17 seasons.

Owens has headed baseball operations for Clemson the past eight seasons.
