Man shot to death in Columbia
COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — One man has died after an early-morning shooting in Columbia
Columbia Police Department spokeswoman Jennifer Timmons told local reporters the shooting happened shortly after 1 a.m. Tuesday.
Richland County Coroner Gary Watts said the victim was 32-year-old Timothy Peter Gentry of Columbia. Watts says Gentry was taken to Palmetto Health Richland Hospital where he died about an hour later.
Watts says an autopsy showed that Gentry died from a gunshot wound to the chest.
No arrests have been reported.
