Columbia locals can tour Woodrow Wilson family home for $1

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Special deals are going on this weekend for people wanting to take a peek at the South Carolina home where President Woodrow Wilson lived as a teenager.

Historic Columbia is showcasing the Woodrow Wilson family home on Sunday as part of its Dollar Sunday program.

Residents of Richland and Lexington counties can tour the property for just $1. Historic Columbia members can tour for free. Other tickets range from $5 for youth to $8 for adults.

The villa-style home was built in 1871 and closed its doors and grounds to the public in 2005 due to plaster and water issues. The property reopened to the public last year.
