GOP hopefuls slated to return to SC
In an effort to court South Carolina voters, at least two Republican presidential candidates will be returning to the state in the coming days. Dr. Ben Carson will begin his swing through the state on Sunday in West Columbia, where he‘ll be at a Back to School Bash at Midlands Technical College starting at 1:30 p.m. On Monday, Carson will participate in several events through the Midlands, including filing to officially appear on the South Carolina presidential primary ballot at the state‘s GOP Party headquarters in Columbia at 12:15 p.m. Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker will make his first stop at 12:30 p.m., for a meet and greet in Fort Mill, at Sun City Carolina Lakes, 5074 Grandview Drive. Democratic presidential hopeful and Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, popularity has grown in recent weeks, resulting in a change of venue during his stop in Charleston on Saturday to accommodate the larger crowd.
