Person of interest named in Columbia Murder

Columbia, S.C. (WOLO)–Columbia Police Chief Skip Hollbrook says police are looking for Rondrell Sumter in connection with the August 19th shooting death of James Sumpter. Investigators say Sumpter was shot and killed at a home on Slighs St. According to investigators, Sumter is known to spend time at the 7600 block of Garners Ferry Road, Gonzalez Gardens Apartments and the Broad River Road area. Police say Sumter was last seen in an older model burgundy Honda, possibly with a driver‘s side window broken.
