Police investigating fatal hit and run

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal hit and run accident that happened Saturday. A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene. According to reports, the incident happened around 8:30pm on Monument Drive between S.C. 23 and S.C. 121 near Johnston in Edgefield County. The make, model and color of the vehicle is unknown. Officials say the vehicle will have damage to the under carriage.
