Columbia , S.C. (WOLO) — On Thursday, several GOP Presidential candidates made a stop in the Palmetto State. GOP Presidential front-runner Donald Trump made his first campaign stop in the Upstate on Thursday since announcing his run for President. Nearly 1,800 people turned out in Greenville to hear the Republican presidential hopeful lay out his vision for the future of the United States, including his plan to strengthen the american dream for all individuals. However, Trump also added humor to his speech by proving to the audience that the hair on his head is the real deal. “I don‘t wear a toupee, it’s my hair, I swear,” said Trump. Former Texas Governor Rick Perry also made a campaign stop in South Carolina Thursday. The republican candidate joined South Carolina Senator Tim Scott in a town hall style meeting. “I want to be your President so I can go to the oval office everyday and try to make Washington DC as inconsequential in your life as I can make it,” said Perry. In front of dozens of supporters, Perry highlighted the need to take the power out of Washington and focused on key issues such as the need to cut spending to improve national debt, secure our nations border and his opposition to the Iran nuclear deal. “I can not tell you what a huge mistake this President made to give Iran the opportunity to economically get back on their feet,” said Perry.
