Dog missing for over 7 months returns home to Darlington

DARLINGTON, S.C. (AP) — A dog that was missing for more than seven months has returned home to Darlington. The Morning News of Florence reports that Betty Trogdon’s dog, Charlie Brown, returned home Aug. 2 after he ran away following a car accident in December. Trogdon says she was on her way to Hartsville to board her dogs when the wreck happened and Charlie Brown ran across a field and into the woods. She says she and her family had searched for the Lab-shepherd mix . Trogdon says it wasn’t until she returned home from walking her other dogs Aug. 2 that she found Charlie Brown standing in her yard. She has nursed the dog back to health. Trogdon says she thinks the dog walked to Darlington from Hartsville.
