One killed in collision between bus and car in Sumter County

SUMTER COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) — One person died in a collision between a bus and a car in Sumter County Saturday. The South Carolina Highway Patrol says the car was turning onto Highway 378 off Illery Drive, when it collided with a 2011 bus. Officials say the driver of the car died. The victim’s identity has not been released. The driver of the bus, 55-year-old Johnny Dees, and the 22 people riding on the bus are okay. The highway patrol is investigating the incident.
