Former teacher pleads guilty in child porn case

GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) _ A former Mauldin Middle School teacher has pleaded guilty in federal court to the distribution of child pornography. Multiple media outlets reported that court documents show Daniel Ray Archer of Simpsonville entered the plea this week in U.S. District Court in Greenville. Under a plea agreement, Archer faces between five years and 20 years in prison when he is sentenced later. An indictment alleged he distributed the materials between 2012 and 2014. Archer was employed as a physical education teacher and had worked at Mauldin Middle since 2007.
