Meth Lab Bust In Sumter
SUMTER COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) — Sumter County Sheriff‘s Office arrested two people on drug manufacturing and child endangerment charges Thursday morning after discovering a methamphetamine lab while serving a warrant in the 3400 block of Ramsey Road. Investigators received an anonymous tip that 35-year-old Jamey Marshal Koon, an alleged fugitive from justice from Berkeley County on manufacturing methamphetamine charges, was at the home. Deputies located the suspect walking along the street near the residence. During a search of the home, officers located evidence of methamphetamine manufacturing hidden in the floor vents of the residence. A five-year-old boy who lived at the home has been placed in emergency protective custody by the South Carolina Department of Social Services officials say. Both Koon and 24-year-old Brandi Alania Bone face manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and child endangerment charges. Both suspects are detained at the Sumter-Lee Regional Detention Center. The incident remains under investigation, and more charges and/or arrests are possible.
